The Bean, Willis (Sears) Tower, and deep dish pizza

For work I traveled to Chicago in February. I took our sales reps out to dinner at a delicious Italian restaurant and walked the Chicago gift show. The next day I had a couple of hours before my flight left so I did a little sightseeing. There were four main things that I wanted to try to squeeze in: go to Navy Pier and see Lake Michigan, see "the bean" sculpture, eat Chicago style deep dish pizza and go to the top of the Willis Tower (formally the Sears Tower). I walked long and fast, and managed to do them all!

Here is Navy Pier:

Here is the Chicago river:

The famous Bean!

Willis tower - was once the tallest building in the world.

Here I am at the top of the Willis tower on the sky deck. They have 4 decks that are all glass that you can walk out on and see the city below you. It is so high up that the cars below look like ants.
You can tell by my smile that I am a little timid.

106 floors!

I went to Pizanos for deep dish pizza. I think I like NY style better. There was too much crust for me.

Floating houses on Lake Union

There are 505 floating houses on Lake Union in Seattle WA. (I learned that on the Ride the Duck tour in Seattle one day.) I loved the colors of these ones that are right down the street from my office.
