Jodie and Eric's wedding preview

Jodie and Eric asked me to help out with some photos for them during their wedding ceremony. Her best friend is their photographer for their whole wedding, but since she was in the wedding party, they needed me to help with some of the group photos and the ceremony photos. Their wedding was a blast and I loved all of the little details they incorporated.

We did some group photos in a grass field with Mt. Baker in the background. It was GORGEOUS!!

The ceremony took place in her Mom's garden. The sunlight streaming into the garden made for some very picturesque moments.

More photos to come once I have time to edit them! Moving and organizing our new house has been taking so much of my time these past couple of weeks.

First new house project - painting the brick fireplace

Our first home improvement project was to get rid of the bright red brick that was in the family room. Garrett really wanted to paint it a grey color and I eventually came around to the idea. It turned out to be a good one because we both really like it now.

Don't you just love the pink carpet? We don't either, so that is going right after we get the brick painted.

Here it is all painted!

There was also brick in the entry way inside and out and we wanted it all to look uniform so we painted those too. Painting brick takes a lot of effort and my hands were so sore afterward!

Here is the progress.

Finished product!

We are going to install a book shelf to fit in that little nook in the corner to hold all the stuff that is over there. And eventually I would like to get some nice candles to fill in the whole fireplace.

...... This seems to be a popular post so I want to update it to show what it looks like now!

We installed the mantel with the help of my dad. The board only cost us $18!! And then we stained it to match the built in bookshelf and the frame he also helped us install over the fireplace.
It looks so much better than it did when we first moved in!

We bought our first house!

And we are really excited about it! Moving has been a lot of work, but it has been worth it. There is such a sense of accomplishment that comes with completing all of the little upgrades we have been making.

Here is us when we first got the keys!

Cute card and flowers from my mom.

The first week we moved in our neighborhood had a block party! They got permits to close off the roads and roasted a pig. What a great way to meet all of the new neighbors. Everyone was really nice. It seems like most people have either lived here for 16 years or more, or they moved to the block in the last year or so.

Ballard Sip N Ship & Compendium Product photoshoot

Here are some photos I shot at Ballard Sip N Ship of two book promotional packages for Compendium. The store was so nice and has so many great products to shop. You can even send mail and get a coffee there!

This is the Gratitude promotion for sale in November. Great books and journals to say Thank You to someone you love.
