I plan on posting more detailed posts about each place we visited to share some of our favorite photos and experiences, but here are some highlights to get started with.
Here we are in Rome on our first night in Europe! What a gorgeous sunset right over the top of St. Peter's Basilica!
This is our second day and we are looking exhausted!!! The Pantheon was amazing! The history behind the building blew us away.
After Rome we rented a car and drove north to Tuscany to go wine tasting. Below is a cool wine aerator at a wine cellar called Reddi in Montepulciano.

After Tuscany we headed out to the coast to visit Cinque Terre. The views were breathtaking here!

Piedmont region - gorgeous rolling hills with all the big name wine towns.
This was a church at the very top of the hill in Diana d'Alba.
Venice - our feet were aching here after 2.5 weeks of touring around and walking for hours all over Venice. That is St. Marks Square behind us.
